Celebrating Toronto’s Style Makers with Portraits by Bryan Adams

  • Jeanne Beker

    Best known as host of FashionTelevision, and being the first to bring the runways to real life, Jeanne Beker is a fashion trend unto herself. Her increasing list of accomplishments includes producer, author, columnist, magazine editor, creative director of a fashion label and most recently a member of the Order of Canada. She is a maverick, a fashion maven, and a marvel.

    In recognition of Jeanne Beker's involvement a donation has been made to SickKids Foundation.

  • Lisa Ray

    The Toronto-born daughter of an Indian father and Polish mother, Lisa Ray is a woman of the world. An acclaimed actress, recognized for such films as Water, a television host in India and Canada, and – being a cancer survivor herself – she is also ambassador of Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths program in support of women fighting the disease. Voted one of the world’s most beautiful women, she is a woman of many talents, many facets, and many admirers.

    In recognition of Lisa Ray's involvement a donation has been made to SickKids Foundation.

  • Suzanne Rogers

    Two words. Fashion and philanthropy. Suzanne Rogers has made a name for both. A member of many fundraising committees, she also holds her own special gala events where icons such as Oscar de la Renta, Marchesa and Zac Posen help raise funds for children’s charities. Her style sense is legendary. Her support of causes that improve the lives of children is limitless.

  • Chloe Rogers

    Chloe Rogers is a high-school senior. Recently discovered by Elite Models, Chloe made her debut at David Dixon’s spring collection during Toronto Fashion Week, and has begun to grace the pages of Canadian magazines. Her future is bright. She is the next generation of Style Maker.

  • Cameron Bailey

    British-born Cameron Bailey moved to Barbados before settling home to Canada when he was young. Now the Artistic Director of the Toronto International Film Festival, one of the world’s most prestigious events, he travels the globe in search of the best in cinema. Film connoisseur, curator, writer, orator – noted for his impeccable sense of style – he is a man of culture in every respect.

    In recognition of Cameron Bailey's involvement a donation has been made to SickKids Foundation.

  • Dina Pugliese

    As co-host of Breakfast Television, Dina Pugliese is a perfect example of the phrase ‘rise and shine.’ She starts the day with humour, warmth, grace and style. An avid supporter of many community charities, she has been voted the city’s best-loved television personality – and has become the first face Toronto wants to see in the morning.

    In recognition of Dina Pugliese's involvement a donation has been made to SickKids Foundation.

  • Lucian Matis

    Lucian Matis was born to design. He learned the art in his mother’s tailor shop as a boy, and his talent was recognized long before he graduated from design school. A recipient of countless awards, his label has grown to include couture, ready to wear and a home line. He is a master of fabric and cut – and more than a Style Maker, he is a style inventor.

    In recognition of Lucian Matis' involvement a donation has been made to SickKids Foundation.

  • CAILLI AND SAM BECKERMAN

    Cailli and Sam are two of fashion’s hottest must-haves. The uber-talented sisters started their own Beckerman label in 2004 and, by 2009, launched Beckerman Blog – Canada’s favourite fashion blog. They have worked with H&M, Coach, Bulgari, J. Crew and Michael Kors, covered style for etalk, hosted the red carpet for Much Music Video Awards, and been featured in Vogue, The New York Times, Style.com and more. They are ones to watch. And two to follow.

    In recognition of Calli and Sam Beckerman's involvement a donation has been made to SickKids Foundation.

  • Jagmeet Singh

    The rep from Bramalea Gore Malton has inspired increased political participation in a generation of youth who view him not only as a style icon but a community leader. As an avid mixed martial artist, a criminal defense litigator and now MPP Jagmeet is a fighter who's taken his fight from the ring, to the courthouse and finally to parliament. He has earned a reputation as a defender of rights and justice – and also for his fondness of finely tailored suits. In short, a polished man of the people.

    In recognition of Jagmeet Singh's involvement a donation has been made to SickKids Foundation.
