Optometric Administrative Assistant

A little bit about our clinic, Yorkdale Optometry is Toronto’s premiere eye clinic and was established since 1990. Our full scope practice uses advanced diagnostic equipment and vision correction products, including a wide selection of high quality frames and lenses, and the latest contact lenses on the market.
We offer vision care to children and adults in a friendly, comfortable, and professional atmosphere in the greater Toronto area.
Responsibilities and Duties
⦁ Provide excellent customer service and patient care
⦁ General office duties; scanning files, scheduling specialist appointments
⦁ Answering phones and booking appointments
⦁ Pre-testing, contact lens teach, and measurement of glasses
⦁ Process payments and end of day duties, including house keeping
Qualifications and Skills
⦁ Friendly and outgoing personality
⦁ Ability to multi-task, quick learner, work well in a team environment
⦁ Excellent verbal and communication skills
⦁ Strong work ethics; punctual and reliable
⦁ Possess mature and professional attitude and excellent telephone manner
⦁ Strong computer skills; word and excel
⦁ Experience in the optical and health industry is an asset
⦁ Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends
⦁ One year experience in similar clinical setting is an asset
