POSITION: Retail Store Assistant Manager

The Retail Store Assistant Manager shall be responsible for managing all store operations and the overall success of the BUSCEMI pop-up in the Yorkdale Shopping Centre.  The Pop Up will be for 12 months.  A strong background in luxury retail operations as well as extensive experience in servicing luxury clientele is required. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in monitoring, managing, and reporting KPIs, inventory controls, and ensuring BUSCEMI’s retail experience is elegant and conversion-focused.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Image

·       Act as a role model for company’s “floor-ready” expectations in terms of dress code; behave as a brand ambassador to all audiences

·       Assist in enforcing “floor-ready” guidelines amongst team in a reasonable, constructive and respectful manner

·       Support brand image by ensuring all displays and visual areas are in keeping with visual direction throughout the day. Partner with visual team as needed

Service

·       Maintain floor coverage to support team in providing a luxury BUSCEMI Experience for clients. Set an example through client interactions and ensure a welcoming environment exists on the floor

·       Address and successfully resolve client situations according to company philosophy and standards. Escalate client issues to senior management as needed

·       Maintain up to date knowledge of all company products and technical information to be able to communicate to both clients and team members

·       Maintain thorough understanding of all policies, procedures and processes. Ensure team adherence to company retail operating and security procedures.

Leadership

·       Take full responsibility for the store while mentoring and motivating the team

·       Resolve all employee issues in a professional manner and in accordance with company guidelines and practices

·       Ensure a positive and professional cooperative team environment that promotes trust, integrity and superior performance standards, leading by example

·       Demonstrate integrity, honesty and knowledge to promote the company culture, values, and mission

·       Ensure fair and effective scheduling of associates to support business needs & maximize productivity

Business

·       Manage timekeeping, payroll, and scheduling with ultimate approval of Manager

·       Meet and exceed sales goals for each product category and client segment

·       Prepare and execute special events, trunk shows, and community initiatives

·       Ensure the implementation of CRM initiatives to develop a clientele network for the store

·       Assist with the management and further development of client base with associates to ensure best business results

·       Resolve any customer service issues including any returns

Key Requirements

  • ● 2 to 5 years of retail sales experience with a luxury, designer, or fashion brand
  • ● Passion for fashion industry
  • ● Self-starter with demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset
  • ● Proven ability to drive results
  • ● Excellent organizational skills
  • ● Talent for managing, coaching and developing a team
  • ● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • ● Excellent communication, verbal and written skills
  • ● Analytical skills and ability to identify trends
  • ● Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • ● Ability to understand budgets, sales, scheduling impact, goals, and allocations

Ability to work a flexible schedule and stand/walk for extended hours
