Paris Fashion Week has come and gone, another fashion week that did not disappoint! Here’s our recap of the designers and pieces you can expect to see at Yorkdale for autumn/winter 2015.
Lagerfeld’s collection for Chanel AW15 was gentle and practical; roll-necks, and mosaic-tiled apron skirts, quilted floral coats, elegant tweeds and embroidered parkas were showcased on the runway. The collection is ready–to-wear, elevated daywear made with more luxurious materials. The reimagined catwalk, as a French café, was carried off perfectly!
With military jackets, cavalryman helmets and tartan-print boots, Moncler Gamme Rouge fall/winter 2015 was inspired by British ceremonial military uniform. Bold designs including tall fur hats, and red structured jackets dazzled the crowd. Designer, Giambattista Valli mixed riding coats, flared A-line skirts, pleats and fur panels together impeccably!
With the Louis Vuitton collection, we saw poofy sleeves and disco inspired pieces. Unique statement pieces included yeti fur coats, structured slip dresses, miniskirts, geometric patterns and sparkles. The seventies inspiration was echoed in this collection with patchwork pieces and exotic materials.
