how can someone say all employees are rude that is quite ignorant. I found my experience to be amazing the employee didnt know everything -but im glad we expect people to know everything- however she tried and did everything to make sure that she found what ever she could and helped me as much as possible. so when you are talking about customer service don't make that assumption about everyone. As for the person complaining about some one asking if you needed a size last i cheked that was someone trying to help..just saying.
When the employees are asking for a size, it is because they actually do want to help you find the size you are looking for. The sizes that are displayed are usually only mediums and many customers are going through ALL the mediums to find a different size which are located in the drawers underneath. How they are getting this message out to customers i am not sure of, but hopefully they are trying to be kind. They have worked hard to make the store neat and organized so the customers can view the product, but it does not help when customers are going through the pile of mediums to find a small and ruining the bundles. As for the employees not knowing anything about the products, they probably do not know much, but at least their trying.

Sweety the ladies with the clipboards were probably the media or people from head office coming to evaluate the store. The managers are very nice and have worked very hard to open and run the store. I f you had a chance to speak to one of them, you would change your mind. if you would rather pay extra for shipping and handling than go to the store, then thats ur cup of tea. either way, ur money goes to VS. ha ha ha.
I was there friday night...and it was busy....but not that busy...I waited in line to buy a couple of things...and only 2 people were infront of me. NO there was no clothes or Swimwear :(
Most of the staff were very pushy at anyone touching the undies on display...they were constantly asking if anyone needed a size. Luckily for me a really nice staff member was being very helpful and friendly.
But I must say I had a better shopping experience in the states. Oh well...
Staff need an attitude adjustment and some customer service skills... very disappointed ill be heading across the boarder... all the excitement for the first vs store in ontario and the staff COMPLETELY blew it... very snobby and stuck up

I've shopped at VS in NYC and the staff was highly knowledgeable about your product. The way staff is supposed to be. The staff at Yorkdale have no idea what they are doing. What happens during your staff training sessions? I thought maybe it was just that one visit so I returned just to see since I do love VS bras. Nope, they were still awful.
Rude, doesn't give you the time of day, doesn't know the sizes for the bras, doesn't know where the bras are located, etc.
I've worked retail so I would have at least liked to get a friendly smile, nope. That didn't exist either.
So excited to see the new store and so disappointed!!!

i saw a few women who were older and had a clipboard, they looked like they were the managers.
one of them kept on staring at certain customers, it was very rude and disrespectful. It was as if she thought she was superior to others just because she was a manager at a lingerie store? the managers are definitely SNOBBY.
I thought the managers would be the ones to give excellent customer service while the employees won't, but i was surprised that some employees were much more friendlier than the managers.
I was looking at some managers and they were just walking around and looking down on customers, I bet they were rolling their eyes around when no customers are near them.
Anyways, in conclusion, the managers in yorkdale are RIDICULOUS. I am not buying from this location on purpose just because I do not want this location to have my sale, because then the company would think yorkdale managers are doing a great job at managing this store.
IS THERE CLOTHING OR SWIMWEAR AT THE YORKDALE VS?
I live out in durham and there is a certain body spray that I have my eye on for months. I called ahead of time to see if they had it in stock and the lady who i spoke to over the phone said they did. So I drove an hour only to find out that they do not carry that specific type. I double checked by asking a few girls that worked there, and they all told me that the bodyspray that I was looking for was only sold for a limited time. Very disappointing, I ended up walking out empty handed simply because it was way to busy and the prices seem to be higher for the same exact products sold at La Senza

Was down at the victoria's secret store in Washington D.C. with my fiancee and was treated very well by the staff there, they were extremely helpful. So she was naturally excited when vs was opening here. Except the staff was utterly terrible here. A few of them seemed more interested in standing around and doing nothing rather than asking if you needed help. Seems like i'd rather take my money to the states.
totally agree. although there were some nice staff members there, there was one who kept moving me to put stuff in her drawer while i was busy trying to find a size. would have been way simpler for her to help me then get on with her stock duties.
Your employees suck and the employers most likely suck for hiring these sucky employees. p.s Thanks for turning me off from ever returning to this store again.
Yikes! These comments aren't great! I plan to go on Friday....are they carrying swimwear at this location?? Hopefully the lines aren't so bad and the sales assoc not so nasty! Is anyone complaining to Head Office of VS???
I went to VS today with my boyfriend and waited in line for maybe 40 minutes to get yelled at by a sales associate or manager because apparently I was messing up their table trying to find my size. She told me to look in the drawers below and little did she know they were all empty. What a joke! The store is definately unorganized.

No there is not a VS store opening September 2nd at the Eaton's Center.
The next store opening is Square One on September 10, Eaton's Center will open in October.
Are the Yorkdale and Eaton Centre locations going to carry the VS clothing too?

I was at the opening today and it was a FRENZY! i waited in line for 2 hours to get into the store to shop. And then waited another two hours for the VIP line for autographs. Was it worth it? Definitely since my brother got a free autograph as well. Adriana is gorgeous beyond belief and super nice and appreciative of the people that came out. Love VS in the USA and now i get to love it more in Canada!

I attended a group interview on the 18th of August at Yorkdale mall for a job position at the Victoria's Secret store at Square One shopping centre and I was wondering if anyone know if they already made the call backs or not. If not , is it possible to know when to expect a call?

Eaton Centre: You complain about people's spelling in their posts however, if you had double-checked your response to them chastising them for poor grammar, you'd realize that you had not one, not two but THREE spelling errors in your post. FYI, the actual spelling is "inquiring" and "position". You need to practice what you preach before you belittle others.

I'm one of the employees at the VS Yorkdale location and I have been told by one of the management members that the schedule for training in the store has been changed. She said she would call me back in regards to when I should come in. That clearly didn't happen. I have left continuous emails to the management and also been trying to call but that phone just keeps ringing and the voicemail is not set up yet! The weird part is, I already had my schedule but didn't end up going in because she told me there's been a change, so now I'm basically waiting around until they get back to me. The store opens in 2-3 days and I have no clue what's going on. So if any of you are also VS employees and perhaps had training this past weekend, please let me know what's going on. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!!
I requested before that I am trying to return a call to Katherine (sorry if not correctly spelt) at the Yorkdale Office for VS as she left me a voice message Tues August 17th, 2010 advising me that I have been accepted to work at the Square One location. The phone number she left, 416-781-3238 only rings continously and does not have voice mail. I also left message for Gee, but no return call to date. I also tried 416 781 4979
but this line also only rings continously and no voice mail. I am working during the day, and tried coming by Yorkdale Friday Aug 20th to locate her, but the doors entering Yorkdale Offices was locked and under security guard.
Can someone please help me. I would like Katherine to know I have been trying to return her call so that we can complete any further paperwork and arrange training.

The stores never carry ALL the bathing suits that you will see online. For example, if the website has 800 bikinis, the store will only have 200. The stores don't even have half of what the website has.

They are done hiring and training thier Yorkdale team, you are too late. Although they are still in the process of recruiting the Square One and Eaton Centre location I believe.

How does one return phone calls to HR personnel situated at Yorkdale Mall when there are no direct contact phone numbers available.
