BOTTEGA VENETA introduces Creative Director Daniel Lee’s first two designs for the brand. Discover The Pouch and The Maxi Cabat below:
The oversized clutch features soft folds of leather which completely envelop the rigid frame and create a voluminous rounded form. The Pouch is available in different types of craftsmanship and a palette that includes natural shades and saturated, pop colours. The Velvet Calf Intrecciato Pouch presents Bottega Veneta’s signature intrecciato weave in extra soft calf. The Butter Calf Pouch features panels of smooth leather, while the Cocco Souple version is composed of four skins that are meticulously worked to achieve continuity of the scales.
in 2001, Bottega Veneta introduced a signature intrecciato craftsmanship in order to create one of its most iconic bags, the Cabat. The construction of this deceptively simple bag requires great skill. Thin strips of double-faced leather, called “fettucce”, are woven completely by hand, making the bag identically beautiful from within as it is from without.
This season, Bottega Veneta has reinvented the workmanship with 4-centimeter wide strips to create the Maxi Cabat, one of the first two designs by Creative Director Daniel Lee. Crafting the bag requires twenty nappa leather strips and approximately two full working days.
Essential and unisex, the Maxi Cabat is presented in many styles, contrasting colours and in solid shades.
