Get to know Yorkdale Styled, Frank Ferragini from Breakfast Television!
1. Fashion and flowers are always in style. How have flowers and plants inspired your wardrobe?
That’s easy …colour! Your garden is just an expression of who you are and fashion is the same! Flowers, plants are accessories in a landscape to dress your outdoors and what a better way than to make it colourful! For Frankie Flowers fashion or flowers is all about how you use colour!!
2. Do you have a memorable piece or pieces from Yorkdale?
My favourite Shoes: Lanvin Sneakers
My favourite Sport Coat: Anything Ted Baker ….I also love my black and grey camo sport coat
My favourite Jeans: G-Star Raw in Black (can you believe they are made from recycled ocean plastic?)
My favourite Tie: Anything floral
My favourite Shirt: My Antler inspired Hugo Boss T-Shirt
Side note: I’m very impressed with the styles coming out of R&W
3. How do you balance your day between BT, your lovely wife, 2 boys and the Frankie Flowers brand? Do you sleep?!
My morning start just before 3am …very early but with early starts comes loads of opportunity! I rarely see traffic and I have a rule that my work day ends at 3:30pm at the latest. Most weekdays I’m home to help with homework, coach hockey or soccer and just be what I love the most being a loving husband and a great dad! Family matters most to me! For those curious minds I go to bed around 9pm on average I get between 5-6hours of sleep a night.
4. You have penned several books on plants, flowers and their healthy attributes. Are you working on a new book?
Yes! If all goes well in the very near future Frankie Flower’s 4th book will be complete. The goal of the book is to help anyone grow their own food!!!
My first book: Get Growing A seasonal guide to gardening
Second book: Pot it Up A guide to container gardening
Third book: Power Plants All about plants you can grow that improve your health
All three are Canadian Best Sellers, Get Growing is one of Canada’s best selling gardening of all time.
5. What is your favourite:
Flower? Pansies – happy and hardy …like me!
Plant? Garlic – tastes great, repels aphids in the garden and improves health!!
Tree? Acer Rubrum aka Canadian Red Maple – native tree, with a fantastic fall colour!!!
Mall? Yorkdale of course – great fashion, great food, great fun …a little dangerous at times when visiting with your wife…although happy wife = happy life!!!
